We first came into contact with Standard Poodles when we were researching dog breeds.  We had a Shih'tzu when our children were born and she caused problems with their allergies.  The information we found about the non-shedding, hypoallergenic qualities of standards convinced us that this was the right breed of dog for us and when we got our first dog, we fell in love with him and the breed.  Our dogs have brought so much love and happiness to our lives and have been the perfect companions for our family.
